As a test pilot, we contribute to the EcoComp project with the ambition of developing a trading solution for organic and nature-based compensation. The objective is a transparent and cost-effective solution that classify, value and ensure the quality of traded compensation areas for biodiversity and carbon storage. The project is run by the natural environment consulting company Calluna and is partly financed by Vinnova.

Buildning logistics facilities usually involves an environmental impact and, in some cases,  there can be reasons to compensate for lost values. However, Catena's first priority is always to preserve natural values on the site and minimiza damage.
