Catena has signed an agreement with MM-Sport for the construction and rental of a new logistics facility at Logistics Position Landvetter in Härryda municipality near Gothenburg. The building is expected to be complete in 2024 and the total investment is anticipated to cost SEK 449 million
At Catena’s Annual General Meeting the 28 April 2022 the general meeting approved, among other things, the Board of Director’s proposal for a dividend for 2021 of SEK 8.00 per share.
Rental income for the quarter increased to SEK 377 million (329) and net operating income increased to SEK 295 million (259). In a troubled world, Catena stands strong, and the essential function that logistics plays in society has grown even more evident. New projects were started, during the quarter – new modern logistics properties were acquired, a strong, long-term owner was welcomed aboard and the organization was further strengthened.
Catena is acquiring a newly constructed property in Horsens, Denmark from Ejendomsinvest Egeskovvej ApS, the third-party logistics company DKI Logistics A/S will then move into the property as a tenant.
Catena is constructing a new facility for SGD AB in a central location in Norrköping – an investment of approximately SEK 115 million.
The notification of Catena’s Annual General Meeting 2022 was announced in a press release on 25 March 2022. In the press release, the Nomination Committee's proposals for the number of Board Members and the Board Members were presented. Catena’s Nomination Committee has informed Catena of its decision to amend the proposal and to propose new election of one further Board Member. The Nomination Committee proposes that eight Board Members be elected (agenda, item 13) and that Mr. Joost Uwents, CEO of WDP, is elected board member (agenda, item 15).
Catena recruits Johan Franzén as new Head of Business and Property. Johan becomes a member of the company’s management team, in which the company’s Marketing and Communications Manager Annie Nyblom also becomes a part.
Catena has signed an agreement with Halmslätten Fastighets AB regarding the acquisition of two logistics properties in Umeå and Halmstad. The acquisition will be conducted as a corporate transaction at an underlying property value of SEK 1,520 million, prior to the deduction of deferred tax.

The Board of Directors of Catena AB (publ) (”Catena” or the “Company”) has agreed on a directed issue of 4,122,676 shares at a subscription price of SEK 526.00 per share (the “Share Issue”), equal to a premium of 10bps compared to the latest closing price of 525.5 SEK on March 28, 2022. The issue price results in gross proceeds of SEK 2,168.5 million. The shares will be issued directly to WDP Invest NV/SA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of logistics real estate company Warehouses De Pauw NV/SA (“WDP”), which, upon settlement of the Share Issue, will obtain 9.09% of the shares and voting rights in the Company whilst Backahill, in capacity of Catena’s largest shareholder, has the intention to propose WDP’s CEO, Mr. Joost Uwents, to Catena’s Nomination Committee, as the 8[th] Board member in Catena.
